Failure is the inevitable consequence of experimentation, and entrepreneurship is a giant experiment to see if one can find a repeatable, scalable business model. Rick will share anecdotes from his adventures in the business world, in the mountains, and on stage on how to not only survive failures but how to turn them into strategic advantages.
Rick is a lifelong entrepreneur, adventurer, world traveler, and musician. A descendent of Caribbean Pirates on his Dad’s side – and a Chinese Student/Businessman (on Mom’s side), Rick’s job titles have morphed from CTO to Founder, International Ski Bum to College Professor, Angel Investor to Cancer Survivor. The common thread throughout his life has been a fascination with exploring what it is that makes adventurers, explorers, improvisational musicians, and entrepreneurs “tick.
