This of course is an ever changing and complicated question that has many variables. On most platforms for most industries, the rule of thumb is at least once per day and at most 2 times a day if the quality of the content is high.Â
It all comes down to who is your target audience. If you are targeting millennials specifically- Facebook and Instagram are your main two. If you are targeting businesses only- Facebook and LinkedIn. If you are targeting older than millennials but they are consumers- Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.Â
This is an ever changing answer and is our job. We work with lots of social profiles on lots of platforms and can see through the analytics and our testing when the algorithms change. If there is a major change, we will let you know with our consulting and suggestions report on how we would like to adjust your strategy moving forward.
Increasing ad spend, better photography or more authentic images provided of your company, knowledge of your target audience, better offers, and omni-channel marketing are all ways to improve your results through social media!
It’s all relative to the variables that are specific to your business, but typically a 3 month timeline before real traction takes place is normal. Keep in mind we are also running ads for you to assist in early growth and we are always testing to constantly improve your strategy over time.Â
Every platform has a different audience and so a specific strategy for each platform is ideal. Most small businesses post similar content to all platforms and as long as it still follows the platform optimizations, it can create brand consistency and improve the omni-channel consumer experience.
