With over 20 years of experience as a venture lawyer, José M. Padilla represents startups companies and investment funds on high-stakes strategic matters. His legal practice focuses on formation, seed and VC financings, private equity, acquisitions, strategic corporate transactions, and general advisory regarding corporate and financing strategy.
Early in his career, he wrote a seminal legal article on washout private equity financings titled “What’s Wrong with a Washout?”. He has been featured multiple times in Hispanic Executive magazine, and he has taught a course on corporate transactions at UNLV’s Boyd School of Law in Las Vegas and currently teaches a course on health law for NYU.
José graduated with honors from Harvard University with an A.B. in Government and obtained his law degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
Lunch is served at noon, speaker begins at 12:15pm. The event is hosted at the Innevation Center in Downtown Reno.
